Entries Sought for UK Manufacturer Awards 2005
Entries are being invited for The Manufacturer Awards 2005 - a prestigious set of industry honours that seek to recognise the world class levels of manufacturing excellence being achieved in Britain's finest factories. The awards are sponsored by a range of blue chip companies and supported by the DTI. They will be presented at a 750 seat gala black tie dinner at The Manufacturer Live event at Telford's International Centre in September. This annual two day event is the UK's biggest manufacturing teach-in and delegates will hear from more than 50 speakers from leading companies who will host workshops, seminars and debates on manufacturing's big issues. The top award, for Manufacturer of The Year, is sponsored by Barclays. Other awards up for grabs include the Leadership and Strategy award, the Design and Innovation award, the world class manufacturing award, The Skills and HR award, the IT in Manufacturing award, the Logistics and Supply Chain award, the Manufacturing Operations award, the automotive supply chain award, the Aerospace Supply Chain award and the Process Industry Supply Chain award. Sponsors include PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Renaissance, TBM, SEMTA, Microsoft Business Solutions, Sun, UGS, Hewlett Packard and PICME.
