Nominations are now open for the UK's e-Government National Awards 2005. This scheme seeks to recognise and reward best practice in UK e-Government across all areas, including local and central government, non-departmental public bodies, non-governmental organisations and other suppliers of e-government service. The awards are supported by the Cabinet Office e-Government Unit, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, and Socitm. Consulting group KPMG are the platinum sponsor of the awards. Closing date for entries is October 2005, with the winners awarded at a gala dinner on 25th January 2006 at the Savoy in London.
