Football's Player of the Year Awards Announced

The English Professional Footballers Association and its Scottish counterpart have announced their Player of the Year awards. In England, the Awards were presented at a prestigious ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel while the Scottish PFA awards dinner was held at Glasgow's Thistle Hotel. The headline awards were the Players' Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year. There were also divisional awards for the English Championship and Coca-Cola Leagues One and Two, and in Scotland for Divisions One, Two and Three. The winners of the PFA Awards received large silver-plated trophies, and the Scottish winners (the SFA Player of the Year Award was shared between two players) each received a crystal award trophy.
